Short-Term International Course (3 months)

Course Feature

Students with a temporary visitor’s visa or a working holiday visa *can apply for the Short-Term International Course. One term for the course lasts three months.

The skills will not only be useful for various tests, but will also be highly practical for daily life.

*Students should apply the visa by themselves.

What Skills Can Be Learned

TCJ emphasizes on speaking training. No matter when students want to enter college or to find jobs, face-to-face interview is a must in testing communication skills. TCJ emphasizes on communicative training from the Beginning Course. If you goals to acquire speaking and communication skills, TCJ should be one of the best choices.

TCJ also pays much attention to building studnet’s writing skills. TCJ has “Writing Hour” since the Beginning Course. Students receive individual writing correction and instruction.
In the Advanced Course, TCJ provides EJU preparatory course on wiring skills to those who intend for entering colleges, and study plan writing instruction to those who intend for entering graduate schools

In addition, TCJ provides “Adjustment Education” to students every term. Not only the language skills, but also the understanding of Japanese society and culture are very important for life in Japan. And therefore,
Adjustment Education is the case study, during which teachers and students get together observing and discussing problems that may occur during daily communication in Japan.

Course Level

The class is divided into 8～10 levels, and the students are put into the level in accordance with their language levels. Level Division Test is held when students enter the school. In addition, Level Up Test is also held at the end of every term.

Intermediate Ⅱ	N2
Intermediate Ⅰ	N3	The ability to understand Japanese used in everyday situations to a certain degree. 【Reading】One is able to read and understand written materials with specific contents concerning everyday topics, and is also able to grasp summary information such as newspaper headlines. 【Listening】One is able to listen and comprehend coherent conversations in everyday situations, spoken at near-natural speed.
Beginner Ⅱ	N4	The ability to understand basic Japanese. 【Reading】One is able to read and understand passages on familiar daily topics written in basic vocabulary and kanji. 【Listening】One is able to listen and comprehend conversations encountered in daily life and generally follow their contents, provided that they are spoken slowly.
Beginner Ⅰ	N5	The ability to understand some basic Japanese. 【Reading】One is able to read and understand typical expressions and sentences written in hiragana, katakana, and basic kanji. 【Listening】One is able to listen and comprehend conversations about topics regularly encountered in daily life and classroom situations, and is able to pick up necessary information from short conversations spoken slowly.

Aside from Level Up Test, quizzes are frequently held within the term. Students whose grades are behind will receive individual instruction. We are making our efforts to provide students with best learning atmosphere.

Course Pace

TCJ operates on the quarter system, which means 1 term=3 months. There are 4 classes every day, from Monday to Friday.
